EuroDeli Bistro and Delicatessen in Cape Coral

Tucked away in a remote corner of Del Prado Mall, between a tavern and a laundromat EuroDeli surprises everybody with its elegant decor, granite tabletops and fine art hanging on high walls. But it’s all about the merchandise; homemade kielbasa, kishka and about a dozen of other sausages, homemade pierogi and crusty Polish bread that’s baked fresh every day on premises. The shelves are full of products from Poland, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Ukraine. You will find fruit preserves, vegetable spreads, pickles, pickled roasted peppers, pickled beets, red cabbage, vegetable salads, soup mixes, soups, noodles, kasha, canned meats, sauerkraut, fruit syrups, specialty teas, beer and candy, from some most remote corners of central and eastern Europe.

The Bistro’s menu surprises everybody with the variety of ethnic dishes. You can choose from ten different flavors of pierogi, freshly made (from freshly grated potatoes) pancakes, stuffed cabbages, kielbasa or bratwurst with sauerkraut, pork schnitzel, kassler (cured and smoked pork), all home made. Daily specials vary, but you can count on Hungarian stew with its own EuroDeli twist, Hungarian pancakes and Polish traditional “bigos”, a stew that includes cabbage, sauerkraut and various meats served with a hunk of kielbasa and crusty rye bread. Wine, draft beer from Poland, Germany and Czech Republic as well as about twenty different bottled European beers are also served.

The owners put their best effort towards making eating there a real experience. The place is clean, bright and decorated in upscale fashion contrasting with their low prices. And just to remind that this is an old world place, they play polka – all day!

EuroDeli opened its doors in November of 2007 with the intention to cater to Polish, German and other Central European tastes and quickly became popular with everybody, regardless of ethnic background. Today EuroDeli enjoys a solid base of “regulars” and experiences a steady stream of new visitors attracted by high recommendations from other satisfied customers.
